A collaboration rooted in design excellence, craftsmanship, and giving back

The Kips Bay Decorator Show House is one of the most prestigious and influential events in the interior design world. As the longest-running and most recognized decorator show house in the country, it represents the highest level of creativity, craftsmanship, and purpose-driven design. For Spectrum Fine Cabinetry, participating in Kips Bay Palm Beach is both an honor and a responsibility—one that aligns deeply with our belief that design should not only be beautiful, but meaningful. Supporting charitable initiatives within the design community has long been part of our ethos, and Kips Bay represents the powerful intersection of design excellence and social impact. In 2026, the Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach is expected to welcome more than 17,000 visitors, bringing together leading designers, architects, builders, and design enthusiasts from across the nation. Proceeds from ticket sales and special events directly benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of America – an organization that Spectrum is proud to support.

Designing Against the Clock
A Vision That Demanded “Yes, We Can”

When interior designer Leanne Yarn approached Spectrum with a proposal to collaborate on her Kips Bay Palm Beach kitchen, we were immediately drawn to her vision—bold, expressive, and unforgettable. There was one defining challenge: with Spectrum’s cabinetry crafted in Italy, and once a design is approved, production and delivery require approximately 14 weeks. With Kips Bay Palm Beach opening in February—and cabinetry needing to be installed by February 14—the timeline was exceptionally tight. Leanne reached out in early November. That meant the entire kitchen—layout, materials, finishes, elevations, and approvals—had to be completed almost immediately. What followed was a collaborative sprint driven by clarity, trust, and expertise. Thanks to Leanne’s crystal-clear design vision and Spectrum’s design-led precision, the full kitchen was designed, approved, and released for production in just 24 hours—ready to be crafted in Italy without compromise. It was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when vision meets craftsmanship.

The kitchen is defined by Italian-made frameless cabinetry in our Bondi Walnut finish, designed to bring the warmth of American walnut into a clean, architectural form. Each cabinet front is 7⁄8-inch thick and fully finished on all sides, creating a construction that feels substantial, precise, and refined. Extending from floor to ceiling, the cabinetry establishes a seamless built-in presence that anchors the entire space while maintaining a calm, modern aesthetic. Upper cabinets feature fluted glass set within oil-rubbed bronze frames, softly illuminated with integrated 3000K lighting that adds depth, texture, and a subtle sense of warmth. Custom Cintron gold handles introduce a refined metallic accent that complements the richness of the wood while elevating the overall detailing. At the center of the kitchen, a sculptural multi-angular waterfall island serves as a bold architectural focal point. Wrapped in richly veined Dekton by Cosentino, the island balances strong geometry with softened edges that invite interaction. A subtle tambour detail along the back panel introduces additional texture and craftsmanship. The cooking zone is anchored by a custom hood finished in hand-applied antique brass, thoughtfully designed to complement the Viking gold appliances. All appliances are panel-ready, allowing them to integrate seamlessly into the cabinetry and preserve the kitchen’s clean architectural lines. Together, these elements highlight a kitchen where cabinetry craftsmanship and architectural precision take center stage, creating a space that is both warm and distinctly contemporary.
